Josh Batchelder, CGA, AB
Josh Batchelder has been performing expert handwriting analysis services for businesses and individuals for 30 years. He was originally trained and Certified by the International Graphoanalysis Society in 1976. He is Vice President of the Southern Chapter (scigas.org) in Columbia, South Carolina.
How Josh Got Started
During a gap in Josh's Air Force Reserve flying activity he took
an introductory course in Handwriting Analysis sponsored by the
International Graphoanalysis Society; it was a natural extension of his
Harvard University field of concentration, Social and Personality
Psychology; he went on to complete the training and certication (1976) by
the International Society.
Josh was thrilled by the possibility to glean practical insights
from the well-defined science of graphology with its early
European and American advances. Over two decades ago, Graphology was moved
out of the New Age area into the psychology category by libraries around the
country. The panoramic viewing of personality traits to clearly describe
characters seemed preferable to much of the jargon used by many
psychologists.
Over the years, Josh's study and practice
shifted from hobbyist to professional. He served more businesses with
employee screening. His career coaching helped clients best use their
talents; he helped couples to better understand their partners; and
compatibility studies for individuals and businesses helped managements. QP Venues
Luxury Cruise Line Gigs that Prompted Josh To Become An Author
His first book, Handwriting
Reveals You (published Sep 2003, trafford.com), was in response to
audiences asking for a
book for the novice to get started. Then, many business and cruise ship
audiences asked for a guide to performing quick analyses like Josh was able
to do during his lectures and demonstrations. Finding no recently published
books, he worked the last two years developing a guide that would not delve
into the history of handwriting analysis or psychological issues, but would
be an entertaining and easy to grasp approach to the subject, without years
of study.
